Issue: Citrix VDA is not registered.
Troubleshooting:
Checked Citrix services on the VDI. Citrix ICA service wasnt started. Throws error, “windows could not start the citrix ica service on local computer 1067” and fails to start.
Solutions:
- On the VDI, check if authenticated users group is added to local administrators group. If you find it, remove it. Start ICA service and other citrix services. Restart citrix desktop service.
- On the VDI, check if local service account is added to local administrators group on the VDA. If you find it, remove it. Start ICA service and other citrix services. Restart citrix desktop service.
Other solutions:
- Restart citrix service.
- Check event viewer for any errors.
- Reinstall Citrix VDA software.
- Check if VDA port is correctly updated in the VDA software.
